Union County has a wide mix of buildings, and each comes with its own insulation questions:
Whatever the property, we start by evaluating what's already there. Checking the type, depth, and condition of existing insulation, along with air leaks and crawl space conditions, tells us whether your home needs an upgrade, a targeted repair, or nothing at all. That evaluation keeps you from paying for work your home doesn't need and makes sure the work you do choose solves the actual problem.
We top off attics with too little insulation, replace material damaged by leaks or pests, and insulate new attics to recommended levels for our climate.
Insulating walls and floors during a build or remodel helps reduce drafts, cold floors, and rooms that never quite match the thermostat.
Crawl space insulation and moisture barriers help keep floors warmer and the area under your home drier and better protected.
Blown-in fiberglass gives attics even coverage around framing and obstructions, while fiberglass batts fit open walls, floors, and standard joist spacing.
We close the gaps around chimneys, plumbing and wiring penetrations, attic access points, and framing joints where outside air slips in.
Sound control insulation helps quiet bedrooms, home offices, and shared walls in homes and commercial buildings.
We insulate shops, offices, schools, medical buildings, and other commercial properties throughout Union County.
Plenty of older and rural homes in Union County are well built and well insulated. But when comfort problems show up, a few causes come up again and again:
The right fix depends on what we find. Sometimes it's adding blown-in insulation to the attic. Sometimes it's sealing leaks, replacing wet crawl space insulation, or simply insulating one problem room. We'll show you what we see and explain why it matters.
For rural properties, we can also insulate garages, workshops, and outbuildings to make them more usable year-round.

"They followed through with all of my concerns and even made other good suggestions regarding managing critters entering our attic space as well as a good referral to a roofing repair service." – Erik, Spartanburg, SC
For attics in our region, ENERGY STAR generally recommends insulation in the R-30 to R-60 range, depending on what's already there. Many older homes fall below that level, though not all do. The best way to know is to measure. During a consultation, we check your attic's current depth and condition and tell you how much, if any, should be added.
Yes. Attic insulation can usually be blown in over existing material without opening walls or ceilings. Crawl space insulation and air sealing can also be done from the attic and underneath the home. Most upgrades in existing homes take place with little disruption to your living space.
Watch for upstairs rooms that are hot in summer, ceilings that feel warm or cold to the touch, an HVAC system that rarely shuts off, and insulation that looks thin, uneven, or level with the tops of the attic joists. Water stains, droppings, or nesting material in the attic can also mean insulation has been damaged.
Yes. We insulate homes, additions, garages, workshops, and outbuildings on rural properties throughout Union County. Call us with your address and we'll schedule a visit.
Yes. Drafts usually come from air leaks, and temperature differences between rooms often come from gaps or thin spots in insulation. Air sealing combined with properly installed insulation helps your home feel more even from room to room.
